Kursk State Medical University (KSMU) was founded in 7 February 1935 – Top 10 Russian Medical University and the 1st Russian university which offer full medical courses in English.
KSMU has trained over 30,000 medical professionals across 14 faculties and 67 departments. There are 633 academic workers with 333 Ph.D and 92 Academics of D.sc to teach 6,400 students. The university has a library that allows borrowing books and its contain more than 500,000 journals, books and releases.
On its campus, there are 4 teaching buildings and 5 comfortable student hostels. Students can also enjoy recreational facilities including 3 sports halls and shooting halls. Shooting galleries, canteens and cafeteria are also available on the main campus and hostels.
In 2013, there were 1,573 foreign students from 47 countries such as Malaysia, Nigeria, Brazil, Sri Lanka and others. KSMU graduates are in demand in various areas of healthcare, medical, business and economic sciences. The university placement office monitors employers’ views on the quality of graduates.
