Internship Briefing: Grooming, Dress Code, and Communication Skills

Goon International College (GIC) is conducting a vital workshop today for Semester 7 students, focusing on grooming skills, dress code, and communication strategies. The event, designed to prepare students for upcoming internships and career opportunities, will help them enhance their professional image and interpersonal communication.

Hosted by Kavittra Krishnan, Katiressan A/L Jayaraman, and Kalaiarasi Manimaran, the workshop will guide students through the essentials of personal grooming, from maintaining a professional appearance to understanding the importance of hygiene and self-care. These skills are critical for building confidence and making lasting first impressions in professional settings.

The workshop also emphasizes the importance of dressing appropriately for different professional environments, whether business formal or business casual. Students will receive guidance on selecting attire that reflects professionalism, helping them stand out during interviews and in workplace interactions.

Additionally, the session will cover effective communication techniques, including verbal, non-verbal, and written skills. Students will learn the importance of active listening, clear communication, and body language in building positive professional relationships.

The workshop is scheduled to take place from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM in Classroom 1 and 2, Level 2. This initiative is part of GIC’s ongoing efforts to ensure that students are well-prepared not only academically but also in the essential life skills necessary for professional success.
